A new prospective member, Jim Morse attended the meeting.
The December minutes were read.
Curtis Bost: Curtis has donated all his R/C stuff to the club due to his current situation with cancer. Curtis began chemotherapy a week before Christmas. Please pray for his recovery from pancreatic cancer. There is a multitude of hardware, planes, 6 or 7 narrow band 72 Hz radios, propellers, plans, wheels, balsa, fuel tanks, fox engines (some new) and other stuff too numerous to list. If you are interested call George Estes. All proceeds will go to the club treasury. Bill Kirkpatrick will refurbish one plane to use as a club trainer.
Financial: Rudy Kellerman presented the budget for 2013. We will be $675 short of paying back Bill Kirkpatrick for the shelter. Bill said he is willing to accept whatever we can afford for now. A number of members made donations as of this meeting and purchased some of the items donated by Curtis dropping our shortage to $450 assuming all current members pay their dues.
Weather: Ed Stewart said the weather forecast for this Saturday should be good for flying. Hopefully the weather man is right for once.
Show and Tell: Jim Morse showed two of his electric planes and his Turnigy 2.4 GHz radio. The radio is a very inexpensive 9 channel ($50) but had some quality issues requiring fixing a number of cold solder joints resulting in quite a good radio if you have the know how to correct the problems.
The next meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday February 7 at the Anderson County Airport.
