Meeting Minutes

New members:

  • None

Old Business:

  • Bill has talked with the preacher in charge of the land across t The street from First Quality with no success. We were also turned down by the guy south of 29 off 187.  The landfill owned by Clemson is now maintained by the City of Central and it may be turned into a shooting range.
  • Bill will pursue the land across from the water treatment plant south of the Anderson Airport on Hillhouse road.
  • Bill has asked for a meeting with Anderson County officials several weeks ago to determine the status of our flying field. The have not returned his call.

New Business:

  • To avoid charges for our checking account at Wells Fargo we have opened an account at The Peoples Bank.
  • Our bank account balance at the end of June was $823.13. Wrote a check for $180 for mowing leaving a balance of $643.13.
  • I reported that we have 16 paid members, when checking I found we actually have 18 paid members, two members have not paid yet as they both have medical problems.

Announcements:

  • Both Bill Kirkpatrick and George Estes will be away next month therfore we have canceled the August meeting.

Next Meeting:

  • The next meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday September 3, 2015 at the Anderson County Airport.
